  Start A Butterfly Garden!

  time to take a break from debating religion.

  take in a breath of fresh air and be healed by the wonders of nature around you.. how many of you have a garden?

  how many have a nice flower patch to go with your vegetable garden?

  We have lots of Monarchs here, especially if I take caterpillars inside in spring so that the wasps don't kill them. At this time of year I'm the bad guy and have to eradicate some to ensure the survival of my swan plants for spring.

  We have to be careful pruning and take any chrysalises inside to finish off. Hundreds of Monarchs have launched themselves from my finger for their first flight and they often swoop on me in the garden, I assume because they like the colors on my shirts. I have had an old one land on me and die, which I thought was pretty special.

  Since leaving WTTS have you joined a new church or just continue with the new beliefs you have discovered under no religion?

  Because I realized I had been raised in a cult, I knew that everything I had been taught by the cult was questionable. Everything. There was no point in cherry picking what I liked out of it's teachings. I had to start from scratch, questioning the validity of the roots of the cult and the book it was based on.

  I suggest you do the same.

  jws deny shunning, yet lie to not look bad

  i recently decided to take matters into my own hands with my husbands family who have nothing to do with us.

  his mom has seen my son twice since he has been born and his dad has never met him.

  his family will pop in every few months, on top of that like in my last post ask for for money.

  Don't tell them anything, even if they really need to know it. Just hammer them with questions until they have no option but to admit to the doctrine/history/statement they want to hide. If they are dishonest, use questions to corner them into having to admit it, then give them a guilt trip for trying to scam you.

  I'm not avoided by Dubs, and am welcomed into their homes, but I haven't been invited to a memorial for well over a decade.

  Should I get babtized?

  i know this sounds like a ridiculous question but i was talking with my mom in the car today and of course we got on the topic of getting babtized again.

  she told me that jehovah holds me accountable for my sins regardless of wether i am babtized or not so i have no reason to be holding back because it won't change anything.

  my parents are the type of super strict jw who will shun you just for not being a witness.

  Not getting baptized was the best thing I ever did. Because of that, my parents still had a relationship with me into their old age. Something they would not have had if they had been guilted into shunning me if I had been DA or DF. A dysfunctional relationship for sure, but that was better than none, as much for them as for me.

  "2/3 leave?" is from a survey by the Pew Research Center. One question asked was something along the lines of, "Do you still belong to the church you were raised in?" The survey has been discussed here and a search should find it.

  The best thing I never did, was get baptized. Decades later, I still have contact with all of my family members. If I had gotten dunked, I would now be the evil one to be avoided at all costs.

  For my father, this has been his greatest blessing.

  Writing my Disassociation letter

  today i am working on writing my disassociation letter.

  i successfully faded a year ago.

  but i feel like i can't keep looking over my shoulder anymore i just need to be completely rid of this cult.. any suggestions on letter and it's content?.

  If you play by their rules, they win. Their rules are designed to protect their flock from you. Officially disassociating puts out a warning to all JWs not to listen to anything you have to say. Even more importantly, it warns them not to answer your questions.

  All of your JW life, they have been warning you and your friends and family, not to listen to apostate reasoning. What makes you think that your family are different, and will listen to you? especially once you have your Apostate hat on?

  
  Instead of telling them what you think, make them think. Ask them sincere questions, one at a time, that they think/pretend/boast they should be able answer. Make them do the research and the reasoning and put them on a guilt trip if they try to weasel their way out of it, or use any kind of psychological warfare to get you accept illogical answers.

  "Theocratic Warfare" still alive and well within Watchtower in 2016!

  it seems like the watchtower is still encouraging "theocratic warfare".

  in the no.1 watchtower of 2016, they (ironically) printed an article on honesty.here is something they said:"lyingwhat is it?

  saying something false to someone who is entitledto know the truth.

  Get your JW to deny Theocratic Warfare, then ask them to explain this article to you. Have your references ready.
